I Love a (Christmas) parade

I Love a (Christmas) parade

Rode in our first parade as a family/church. The Midway Christmas parade has become the largest Christmas parade in the state of NC, and our church got to be a part of it! We started out kinda small – 3 bikes with 4 riders and the kids in our red wagon towed by Taya. Somehow our numbers swelled to about a dozen bikes before the parade started. Pretty cool. Was fun wishing the the throngs Merry Christmas and throwing candy at them. I think that’s about the only time that people are happy to have things thrown at them . Even though 3 of the bikes (including mine – no biggie, just overheated) broke down before the end of the parade, we still managed to represent our church and have a good time. We’ve always watched this parade, and can remember when it was still just a handful of firetrucks, farm tractors, and tow trucks. It’s really grown, and it was really cool to get to be a part of it. Can’t wait ’til next year!

Until next time…..
