I really did it

I really did it

Yes, for the first time in my 30–years, I actually registered, and stood in line and voted. I’ve always been one to say “my vote doesn’t count”, what with the electoral college junk and all that. But I’ve come to realize that taking part in the election process is not just about who “the prez” is. It’s the local leaders, officials, commissioners, and judges, that have an impact too. Actually I think the local elections are just as important, maybe even more so than the national race. I may be wrong, but I think they have more of a direct impact on my family’s life. I still have my misgivings about the whole electoral college mess, but I hope and pray that my vote does make a difference in deciding who leads our country, state, county, local community.

Until next time…..

Congratulations! I used to be the same way- my vote really doesn’t count…all that jazz. But, I have to at least try.
