Political Atheism

No form of government set up by man to govern man can work, because man is inherently sinful. The only government that will ever work will be the government set up by Jesus Christ. Man cannot govern man, because man was not made for that purpose. Only God can rule man.
God has given us the groundwork on how to live and cooperate with each other:

Matthew 22:35-40 – One of them, an expert in the law, tested him with this question: “Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?” Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
Matthew 7:12 – So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.

Romans 12:2 – Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.

1 John 2:15-16 – Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world.

I believe that I have been transformed, I see the evil and ignorance of the world, and I no longer want its ways. I see faith in man’s government as idolatry and evil. Matthew 7:12 and Matthew 22 sums up everything you need to know – live your life like you want your kids to act. Don’t hurt others, don’t steal, don’t tell people what to do, it really is that simple. 1Corinthians 3:19For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God: for it is written, He catcheth the wise in their own craftiness.
People hate being told what to do by other people, and I have no interest in telling others what to do – either by telling you directly, or by voting for someone to do it for me. It is wrong either way. Forcing anyone to do anything against their free will is sin. Man’s government uses force to accomplish their goals, that is contrary to God’s way, so it is sinful.
I no longer want the ways of this world.

The only way change this world is to start setting the example by living the life God wants us to live, not the life you are forced to live by those so-called-legitimate politicians. Yes, I will probably be viewed as that crazy old man living outside of town, but I don’t care. When those around me see that I am making it without the system or a sinful government, I will be making my biggest impact on this world. This is true leadership. Not telling people how to live, or voting for someone to tell people how to live; but by living a good life and setting the example for others to follow.

Until next time…..

Been pondering quite a bit lately. These verses are all along the same line of thinking.

Numbers 23:9 – For from the top of the rocks I did see him, and from the hills I did behold him: lo, the people shall dwell by themselves, and shall not be reckoned among the nations.

IICorinthians 6:17-18 –Wherefore come out from among them, and separate yourselves, saith the Lord: and touch none unclean thing, and I will receive you. And I will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord almighty.

James 1:27 – Pure religion and undefiled before God, even the Father, is this, to visit the fatherless, and widows in their adversity, and to keep himself unspotted of the world.

Leviticus 25:10 – And ye shall hallow that year, even the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty in the land to all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be the jubilee unto you, and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and every man shall return unto his family.

Trying to sort out thoughts and plans for our little clan, without jumping over the edge of a cliff (figuratively, NOT literally). Answers not really coming, leading to more questions. Looking for God’s hand, and His will. Trying to be still, be patient. Wow this is hard.

Until next time…..
